dc.description.abstract | En esta investigación se presenta una nueva técnica para el reconocimiento de huellas dactilares usando como medida de discriminación la distancia Hausdorff. Se realiza la descripción de la etapa de preprocesamiento de la huella dactilar, su posterior almacenamiento, ubicación de la zona de referencia y finalmente el proceso de comparación. Además, se ilustran las características de la utilización de la distancia Hausdorff para medir el grado de similitud entre dos imágenes. Se realiza la descripción de los detalles de implementación de esta técnica de reconocimiento en un sistema de computo de propósito general y por último se muestran diversas medidas de desempeño del sistema usando una base de datos de huellas dactilares internacionalmente reconocida. | spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | This research presents a new technique for fingerprint recognition using the Hausdorff distance as a measure of discrimination. The description of the preprocessing stage of the fingerprint, its subsequent storage, location of the reference zone and finally the comparison process is carried out. In addition, the characteristics of using the Hausdorff distance to measure the degree of similarity between two images are illustrated. The description of the implementation details of this recognition technique in a general purpose computer system is made and finally various performance measures of the system are shown using an internationally recognized fingerprint database. | eng |
