dc.description.abstract | El presente documento guarda el propósito de responder cómo el pensamiento de Tomás Moro, transmitido a través de su obra Utopía, determinó los esfuerzos y las acciones de Vasco de Quiroga en la construcción de la sociedad ideal dentro de los pueblos indígenas del “Nuevo Mundo”, específicamente los purépechas, en Michoacán, México. El desarrollo del mismo se llevará a cabo en tres momentos. En un principio se hará una breve introducción al concepto Utopía, se abordará lo paradójico de su transmigración desde Europa a Latino América, y se dará a conocer la figura de Vasco de Quiroga como ejecutor de la primera gran utopía renacentista. Posteriormente se llevará a cabo un acercamiento a los posibles aspectos que lo llevarían a seguir el modelo de Moro en la organización del pueblo purépecha, para finalmente exponer cuáles fueron las principales ideas de la obra del humanista inglés que adoptó y ejecutó dentro de sus hospitales-pueblo. He de admitir que plasmar cuán decisivo fue el pensamiento del humanista Tomás Moro en la vida de un hombre como Vasco de Quiroga, y en la realización de su ideal de sociedad utópica en Michoacán (México), más que un trabajo final de una asignatura se convirtió en un desafío personal que tuvo como resultado el presente escrito. Si bien es cierto que la propuesta de publicarlo, en un principio, me tomó por sorpresa, ahora es motivo de orgullo y de agradecimiento. | spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | The purpose of this document is to answer how the thought of Thomas More, transmitted to through his work Utopia, determined the efforts and actions of Vasco de Quiroga in the construction of the ideal society within the indigenous peoples of the "New World", specifically the Purépechas, in Michoacan, Mexico. The development of the same will be carried out in three moments. At first there will be a brief introduction to the Utopia concept, the paradox of its transmigration from Europe to Latin America will be addressed, and to know the figure of Vasco de Quiroga as executor of the first great Renaissance utopia. Subsequently, an approach to the possible aspects that would lead him to follow the model will be carried out. de Moro in the organization of the Purépecha people, to finally expose what were the main ideas from the work of the English humanist that he adopted and executed within his hospital-town. I have to admit that capturing how decisive the thought of the humanist Thomas More was in the life of a man like Vasco de Quiroga, and in the realization of his ideal of a utopian society in Michoacán (Mexico), More than a final project for a course, it became a personal challenge that resulted in the present written.
