This project proposes and simulates a solar-powered electric bike charging station without a grid connection. The station consists of a photovoltaic array connected to a Boost converter (DC/DC) with maximum power point tracking and six Buck type converters (DC/DC) associated with the six charging ports provided for charging Ion lithium batteries from Bicycles. The contribution of this work is the formulation of control strategies for a novel solar electric bike charging system under a battery exchange approach. A battery charging station (BBS) charges the batteries in advance and prepares them to be exchanged with the user in a considerably short time. In this proposed system, bicycle batteries are directly charged with electric energy generated by photovoltaic array without making use of additional battery bank. For the planning of control strategies, the set of components that make up the station are modeled and parameterized and unified in a model that simulates the behavior of the station before changes in irradiance, temperature and load. Finally, by simulation in MATLAB, it is observed whether the proposed control strategies, establish a load process behavior within safe operating range and evaluate the effectiveness of the maximum power tracking algorithm. Two station modes of operation are established for power flow management in cases where photovoltaic power exceeds demand power and vice versa. Advantages and disadvantages are analyzed for each of themeng
