dc.description.abstractenglish | The present work is framed in the field of knowledge called point pattern analysis, although it is not a new area of study, it is still valid by allowing the analysis of different phenomena from a spatial perspective using diverse methods. Among the existing point pattern analysis methods there are some focused on the analysis on network spaces, defined as linear spaces contained within the two dimensions Euclidean spaces. An example of network space is the one acquiesced by the road network in a city or region. Over these network spaces there can be made analysis of phenomena such as traffic accidents and crimes. The development of the present work is divided into two stages. The first stage focuses on the creation of a software application that implements two methods of point pattern analysis in network spaces, the network K function and NetKDE. Alongside the method development process, support topics are covered, those topics include manipulating KML files, reviewing and closing network nodes, and projecting event points over network lines. The second stage focuses on the application of the implemented methods on the data of traffic accidents occurred in the cities of Bucaramanga (Colombia) and Barcelona (Spain) during 2014, and the later analysis of the results obtained | eng |
