dc.description.abstractContexto: La obesidad es un problema de salud pública con la dificultad para el mantenimiento de peso posterior a perderlo por la reganancia debido a la dificultad para asimilar los cambios cognoscitivos obtenidos inicialmente. Objetivos: Evaluar el impacto de un programa de psicoeducación a través de redes sociales en un grupo de pacientes Obesos de una EPS de la ciudad de Bucaramanga. Métodos: Ensayo clínico controlado, aleatorizado, sin ciego. Resultados. Dentro de una población de 176 pacientes se tomó una muestra de 45 pacientes 30 controles y 15 casos. No se encontró una reducción significativa de peso mayor al 5%. Se encontró poca participación en las actividades psicoeducativas. Conclusiones:. Los resultados son preliminares y no permiten establecer diferencias. Se sugiere aumentar el tiempo del estudio y aplicar las técnicas al grupo de intervención de una forma grupal con algún tipo de incentivo que los motive a realizar cambios en su estilo de vida.

dc.description.abstractenglishContext: Obesity is a public health problem with the difficulty of maintaining weight after losing it due to regain due to the difficulty to assimilate the cognitive changes obtained initially. Objectives: To evaluate the impact of a psychoeducation program through social networks in a group of Obese patients from an EPS in the city of Bucaramanga. Methods: Non-blinded, randomized, controlled clinical trial. Results. Within a population of 176 patients, a sample of 45 patients, 30 controls and 15 cases, was taken. No significant weight reduction greater than 5% was found. Little participation in psychoeducational activities was found. Conclusions :. The results are preliminary and do not allow differences to be established. It is suggested to increase the study time and apply the techniques to the intervention group in a group way with some type of incentive that motivates them to make changes in their lifestyle.
