dc.description.abstractPropósito: Evaluar en pacientes operados de catarata con lente Restor SN6AD1 la agudeza visual, monocular, lejana - intermedia (60 cm) - cercana (33 cm); la sensibilidad al contraste; aberrometría; estereopsis y nivel de satisfacción, en pacientes postoperados de cataratas o cirugía facorrefractiva con lente intraocular (LIO), multifocal ReSTOR asférico no tórico de add +3.00 D, en el Centro Oftalmológico Virgilio Galvis (COVG), Floridablanca, Colombia . Diseño: Estudio longitudinal de cohorte, ambispectivo, analítico observacional, donde se revisaron historias clínicas y se citaron pacientes ya operados entre Enero 2012 y Diciembre 2013 para realizar el control y toma de algunos datos necesarios para este estudio que no se realizan de forma rutinaria. Resultados: El promedio de las agudeza visual monofocal sin corrección para visión lejana, intermedia y cercana fue de 20/24, 20/23 y 20/23, respectivamente. El promedio del equivalente esférico fue de 0  0,29 Dioptrías y el cilindro promedio de - 0.27 Dioptrías. El promedio de estereopsis fue de 44,54  8,26. El promedio de las aberraciones oculares totales de alto orden (4 mm de diámetro pupilar) fue de 0,15  0,07. La satisfacción fue en general buena. 97% de los pacientes no requería gafas para ninguna de las actividades usuales ni en visión próxima ni lejana. Conclusiones: Los lentes intraoculares multifocales difractivos obtienen resultados monoculares muy buenos, que permiten a los pacientes tener una alta posibilidad de alcanzar la independencia de las gafas.spa
dc.description.abstractPurpose: To evaluate visual acuity, monocular, far - intermediate (60 cm) - near (33 cm) in patients operated on for cataract with Restor SN6AD1 lens; contrast sensitivity; aberrometry; stereopsis and satisfaction level, in postoperative patients with cataracts or phacorrefractive surgery with intraocular lens (IOL), multifocal non-toric aspheric ReSTOR add +3.00 D, at the Virgilio Galvis Ophthalmology Center (COVG), Floridablanca, Colombia. Design: Longitudinal, ambispective, observational, analytical cohort study, where medical records were reviewed and patients already operated between January 2012 and December 2013 were cited to control and collect some data necessary for this study that are not performed routinely. Results: The average uncorrected monofocal visual acuity for far, intermediate, and near vision was 20/24, 20/23, and 20/23, respectively. The average spherical equivalent was 0  0.29 Diopters and the average cylinder - 0.27 Diopters. The mean stereopsis was 44.54  8.26. The mean total high-order ocular aberrations (4 mm pupil diameter) was 0.15 ± 0.07. Satisfaction was generally good. 97% of the patients did not require glasses for any of the usual activities in near or far vision. Conclusions: Diffractive multifocal intraocular lenses obtain very good monocular results, which allow patients to have a high possibility of achieving independence from glasses.spa
