| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | Introduction: Female pattern alopecia is increasingly a reason for consultation frequent in outpatient dermatology services, with a greater incidence in women between 40 and 50 years of age. (1,2)
Clinically, depending on the pattern expressed, androgenetic alopecia, one of the more frequent, it is characterized by a miniaturization process with the subsequent loss of hair follicle secondary to androgenic influence. There are other pathologies that within their evolution course with a progressive regression of the line of frontal hair implantation as in fibrosing frontal alopecia, some authors they consider it a form of pilar lichen planus, the cause of which remains unknown.
These entities bring with them multiple affectations in the various spheres of being. human, especially in self-esteem, since hair not only has functions of
protection but also a social role. (1.3)
The frontal hairline according to studies in Spain, the United States, Pakistan and Asia, it is an individual racial characteristic that in these populations, Given its phenotypic characteristics, the data cannot be extrapolated, especially in the mestizo race as is our population, which is why it is necessary know our measurements and establish an average that is the basis for future investigations. (3–6)
Objective: To determine the average measurement of the frontal hairline implantation line in healthy women seen in outpatient dermatology and plastic surgery
plastic, for 3 months with reasons for consultation other than hormonal pathology, scalp, hairy or with a known history of hormonal disease, hyperandrogenism, facial or cranial surgery, medications or gender change, which
alter the hairline implantation line or any form of alopecia; for the obtaining the average measurement of the frontal implantation line, the presentation
widow's peak and the dimensions of the other structures that make up the hair implantation. (3,4) Sociodemographic variables and dermatological, which will be completed in a collection form. All formats will be transcribed in an excel document to later be analyzed in
STATA 14. The protection of personal data of the articipants of the eleven study through data anonymization and informed consent will be signed
approving the study link. Expected results: It is expected to determine the average measurement of the frontal hairline, as well as the frequency of the widow's peak and the dimensions of the other structures that make up the line implantation in healthy women and the characterization of the variables sociodemographic and dermatological characteristics of the study population. | eng |
