The entire compendium of physical, chemical and thermal energies from the ocean is known as ocean energy, however, although these three types of energies are currently usable, it is also true that there may be various energy sources in the oceans which are still unknown. . We must bear in mind that currently outer space has been explored more than our oceans, so it is not wrong to think that there are energy potentials in them of which we are not yet aware. Being the largest source of energy available on the planet, the oceans have had great importance during all stages of humanity. In the era of technology, the use of it is imminent, as shown by the multiple methods of use that have been developed. Some within a few years of being in a mature stage. This research project focuses on the development of pedagogical material that allows students of careers related to ocean energy, their theoretical, conceptual and practical understanding. In the development of the project, the generalities of ocean energy are initially described, presented in this project as a world panorama of ocean energy. Consequently, the project dedicates most of it to the detailed explanation of the systems for the use of ocean energy, also including its possible applications for Colombia. Theoretical exercises corresponding to the exploitation systems and an introduction to the evaluation of ocean energy projects were designed and carried out, in order to lay the foundations for students who wish to deepen this topic.eng
