| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | With the present work, the implementation of an evolutionary mathematical algorithm was sought that would allow optimally dimensioning hybrid off-grid pvwind-battery-diesel systems. Initially, the background check was carried out in order to keep in mind the existing methodologies to design hybrid systems and, based on this, propose a practical method that provides highly significant results. Once the antecedents have been evaluated, they serve as support for the creation of the corresponding code in the Matlab platform, based on a genetic algorithm, where the optimal sizing of the renewable generation, storage and diesel generation system is carried out, taking into consideration variables such as irradiance, wind speed, load curve and temperature of the site where the respective sizing of the hybrid system is to be carried out. Subsequently, with the developed tool, it is tested, evaluated and analyzed, through hypothetical cases, if an optimal sizing of the hybrid system is achieved. Finally, through a practical case applied in real conditions, it is confirmed that the solution provided by the developed tool covers the entire energy demand regardless of the time of year, providing an effective solution to the problem posed. For this part, the city of Valencia - Spain was taken as a case study, due to the fact that, in the development of the project, there was a sufficient amount of load data, irradiance, wind speed and temperature, necessary to carry out a sizing with significant and reliable results. Considering the geographical and climatological variability that occur throughout the year, in Valencia - Spain, the tool indicates that the optimal configuration for the summer weather season is 64 photovoltaic modules, 1 wind turbines, 12 batteries and 1 diesel generator. with an LCOE of $ 0.172 / kWh; while for the winter it is a hybrid system made up of 57 photovoltaic modules, 3 wind turbines, 5 batteries and 1 diesel generators with an LCOE of $ 0.186 / kWh. | spa |
