| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | The popularity of social networks has increased dramatically in recent years. Websites like Facebook and Twitter give millions of users the ability to communicate and share videos, comments, photos, and also personal information with each other. Twitter (http://www.twitter.com), is a social network that connects people with the information of what is interesting. According to the description on the same page, it is based on the propagation of small messages called Tweets, which are published and distributed to all the user's contacts who wish to receive updates from the user. Each tweet is limited to 140 characters in length and around 200 million tweets are published daily (Twitter, 2011), which can be viewed by any registered user. These characteristics have made the network especially interesting for sentiment analysis because users tend to go straight to the point of what is being said and messages can be quickly processed. | eng |
