dc.description.abstractEste artículo presenta una introducción a la tecnología PLC (Power Line Communication), también conocido por sus siglas PLC, es un término inglés que puede traducirse por comunicaciones mediante cable eléctrico y que se refiere a diferentes tecnologías que utilizan las líneas de energía eléctrica convencionales para transmitir señales de radio para propósitos de comunicación. Y la tecnología de Ethernet por medio de cableado UTP o par trenzado que consiste en dos cables de cobre aislados, que vienen enlazados de una forma parecida al ADN, con el motivo de poder reducir la interferencia eléctrica procedente del exterior. El artículo describe la comparación entre dos tecnologías que actualmente compiten en el mercado actual: redes lan PLC, y red lan UTP, Además se proporciona una visión de la situación actual de las tecnologías, así como de su evolución prevista. Finalmente el artículo describe los resultados de la comparación de estas redes en cuanto tráfico, jitter y pérdida de paquetes.spa

dc.description.abstractenglishThis article presents an introduction to PLC technology (Power Line Communication), also known by its acronym PLC, it is an English term that can be translated by communications through electrical cable and that refers to different technologies that conventional electrical power lines use to transmit radio signals for communication purposes. And the Ethernet technology through UTP or twisted pair cabling consisting of two insulated copper cables, which are linked in a similar way to DNA, in order to reduce electrical interference from outside. The article describes the comparison between two technologies that are currently competing in the current market: PLC lan networks, and UTP lan network. It also provides a vision of the current situation of the technologies, as well as their expected evolution. Finally, the article describes the results of the comparison of these networks in terms of traffic, jitter and packet loss.eng
