The present study aims to evaluate the degree of satisfaction of those who come to the emergency room. Objective: To evaluate the degree of satisfaction of users of the emergency service of ESE ISABU - HLN. Methods: Observational cross-sectional study. 2192 subjects were studied (56.8% women, whose average age was 23.06 years). A survey was applied that included demographic data and questions rated with a Likert-type scale. For the analysis, the STATCAL 8.0 software was used and rates were calculated by sociodemographic groups and degree of satisfaction of the proposed items. Results: 78.7% of the respondents (n = 1725) rated the service infrastructure as excellent. 97.3% (n = 1117) considered the treatment of health personnel satisfactory. 16.14% (n = 354) expressed a certain degree of disagreement in the way the doctor explained the diagnosis. Conclusions: The perception of the infrastructure, the treatment and the attention of the health personnel was satisfactory. A not inconsiderable number of subjects rated as fair the way the doctor explained the diagnosis and the time spent in the consultation. The findings suggest increasing interventions aimed at strengthening quality control in emergencies of the ESE ISABU - HLN.eng
