| dc.description.abstract | La dimensión del conflicto armado en Colombia ofrece una variedad de problemas cuyos alcances en detalle no siempre son percibidos en toda su magnitud. En parte esto obedece a que su análisis se ha llevado a cabo con la relativa dinámica y precipitación de los acontecimientos inmediatos; cada día en Colombia se ofrece un suceso más estremecedor; a un asalto, le sigue una masacre y a ésta una caravana de desplazados, y así el círculo vicioso se repite, al parecer, indefinidamente1 . La guerra, entre otros efectos, ha tenido aquí la propiedad de enceguecer a quienes no la padecen y de efectuar su impacto cruel sobre la vida de los seres humanos sin dar tiempo para reaccionar reflexivamente sobre ella. | spa |

| dc.description.abstractenglish | The dimension of the armed conflict in Colombia offers a variety of problems whose scope in detail is not always perceived in all its magnitude. In part this is due to the fact that his analysis has been carried out with the relative dynamics and precipitation of immediate events; every day in Colombia a more shocking event is offered; an assault is followed by a massacre and this is followed by a caravan of displaced persons, and thus the vicious circle repeats itself, it seems, indefinitely1. War, among other effects, has had the property here of blinding those who do not suffer from it and of making its cruel impact on the lives of human beings without giving time to react reflexively on it. | eng |
