This paper asks about the meaning that the way of problematizing social and economic inequality can have in the current Colombian constitutional discourse. Today the dominant way of thinking about inequality is governed by the liberal thought of justice, which has one of its most influential expressions in the work of John Rawls. This article will show, through a hermeneutical study, that Rawlsian distributive justice is not a fully pertinent context to make sense of key concepts of the constitutional text as well as institutional and legal mechanisms conceived to confront the dramatic social inequality and inequality. economic experience of Colombian society. On the contrary, it will be suggested that this liberal thought of unproblematic justice qualifies our situation of inequality.eng
