| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | This paper was read at the I National University Congress for Peace, held at the National University of Colombia, from May 12 to 14, 1999. The intention is to show that the university institution is not alien to the armed conflict, but must maintain a status of neutrality, so that it can act without becoming a battlefield for the actors in the conflict. In a metaphorical sense, and following Perry Anderson, the University is indeed a battlefield, but it is about the battles of ideas.
