| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | The work analyzes the relationship between civilians and the military in the context of Chilean participation in the peacekeeping operations, paying special attention to the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH, established on 2004). In that sense - regarding the increasing rapprochement between the Foreign and Defense Policies of Chile- it argues that the Chilean participation in these peacekeeping operations has contributed to the integration of civilians and the military, since it has favor a joint and integrated work strategy among the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the armed forces, as well as a closer and coordinated work among varied civilian and military actors in the Haitian territory. | eng |
