| dc.description.abstract | Este artículo analiza el Frente Nacional en Colombia (1958-1974). El texto describe cómo se diseño e implementó el régimen de coalición como una forma de transición de una dictadura a la democracia a través de un pacto de elites. Asimismo, indaga sobre los efectos no previstos de este diseño institucional: la fragmentación y descohesión de los partidos políticos Liberal y Conservador; el surgimiento de una fuerte oposición política y la alta circulación de la clase política en el Congreso; el débil respaldo y la frágil legitimidad del régimen; y el bloqueo institucional que se produjo con la reforma de la Constitución. | |
