dc.description.abstractSe ha observado asociación entre migraña y depresión que ha sido informada por diferentes autores. El presente artículo revisa la evidencia existente sobre esta asociación mediante una búsqueda electrónica de la literatura y evalúa la relación causal entre las dos entidades. Seis artículos cumplieron los criterios de inclusión, de los cuales se analizaron cinco estudios. En ellos se encontró asociación entre migraña y depresión con unos OR que varían de 2.2 a3.5, que son confirmados en los estudios de cohorte. Existen limitaciones metodológicas que deben ser resueltas en investigaciones futuras.spa

dc.description.abstractenglishAn association between migraine and depression has been observed and has been reported by different authors. This article reviews the existing evidence on this association through an electronic literature search and assesses the causal relationship between the two entities. Six articles met the inclusion criteria, of which five studies were analyzed. In them, an association between migraine and depression was found with ORs ranging from 2.2 to 3.5, which are confirmed in cohort studies. There are methodological limitations that must be resolved in future research.eng
