dc.description.abstractEn el presente artículo se revisan algunos conceptos sobre el curso y el pronóstico de la depresión en pacientes geriátricos. La depresión es una entidad clínica que se caracteriza por recurrencia y remisión de sÍntomas. El curso y el pronóstico de la depresión en pacientes ancianos guardan relación con ciertos factores biológicos y psicosociales. El pronóstico de la depresión en pacientes geriátricos es positivo cuando se identifica claramente y se brinda un manejo integral durante un tiempo prudentespa
