In the multivariate analysis, a significant association was observed between having sexual experience with older age, male gender, higher level of schooling, living with siblings and consumption of nicotine or another substance susceptible to abuse. Conclusion: The adolescent high school students of this school initiate sexual relationships before the age of 18. Educational programs are needed to reduce the initiation of sexual relations in adolescence. (Castillo M, Meneses M, Silva JL, Navarrete PA, Campo A.
