[Noriega J, Mendoza VC. dc.description.abstractenglishDysfunctional uterine hemorrhage: a practical approach in adolescents. Abnormal uterine hemorrhage is the presence of excessive and prolonged menstrual bleeding during various con-secutive menstrual cycles. In most cases its origin is endometrial. It’s the second cause for gynecological consultation, only preceded by leucorreas. A rapid evaluation should be done for possible ge-nital, obstetric or systemic disease dependant factors, considering bleeding severity which determines the type of treatment. This paper is a narrative revision of literature of this topic and presents a management algorithmeng
