El propósito de este artículo es revisar la fisiopatología, clínica, tratamiento del GP y proporcionarles nuestras recomendaciones según lo estudiado.[Aguirre R, Pongo V, Parra JC, Rueda JC. dc.description.abstractenglish | Pigmentary glaucoma (PG) is an open-angle glaucoma secondary to a pigment dispersion syndrome that consists of the accumulation of pigment at the level of the trabecular meshwork, increasing the resistance to the outflow of aqueous humor, thus causing a progressive and irreversible deterioration of the ocular structures leading to visual loss. It frequently affects young male patients with myopia and although its prevalence is higher in Caucasians, it does not mean that it does not occur in our environment. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to recognize and diagnose early for adequate treatment. It has been shown that the concavity of the iris is a characteristic of this pathology, which is why one of the proposed treatments is laser iridotomy. The purpose of this article is to review the pathophysiology, clinic, and treatment of GP and provide our recommendations according to what has been studied.[Aguirre R, Pongo V, Parra JC, Rueda JC.
