The Marginal artery or Drummond's artery, is located parallel to the mesenteric border of the large intestine, and the Riolan arch, connects the left branch of the middle colic artery with the ascending branch of the left colic artery through a portion of the artery. Marginal. Moskowitz and colleagues recently described the sinuous mesenteric artery as a new collateral vessel with great surgical implications. The objective of this article is to describe the clinical and surgical importance of this artery [Corzo EG, Forero PL, Correa JM, Correa DF, Villamizar YJ.
