| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | Rosacea is a chronic, recurring disease involving mainly the skin of the face and very often has eye involvement. It is more prevalent in women of white complexion between 40 and 60 years. Characterized by similar to acne but without comedones. Ophthalmological findings include blepharoconjuntivitis and keratitis, which may precede cutaneous manifestations and frequently are not correctly diagnosed. It has been found within triggers of the lesions exposure to changes in temperature, alcohol, stress, among others. The treatment is based on general measures such as
avoiding triggers, the photo-protection and correct cleaning measures; also topical and systemic medications, especially tetracyclines, and laser or surgery in severe cases. This article aims to provide information about the dermato-eye findings and management approach. | eng |
